Last Thursday, August 30, Dr. David Alan Black, a professor of NT Greek at Southeastern Seminary, posted a link to my creative writing on his blog. I appreciated, not only, the link, but his encouraging words:
Danny Slavich, an M.Div. student at SBTS, has started publishing some of his poetry and fiction over at his site. Here’s a sampler [the link] that I guarantee will bless you. You’re off to a wonderful start, Danny. May God richly bless your literary talents as you use them for Him.
My point in writing this post is mainly to thank Dr. Black for encouragement. I tried emailing him twice, and both times it bounced back to me.
Thank you Dr. Black. You have greatly encouraged me!

Wow, Danny, a lot of really important emails get blocked here at SEBTS for some reason. Sorry I missed yours. Here’s a “thank you” for the “thank you,” and my very best wishes for your continued writing. I think you really do have “the gift.” Warmest regards, Brother Dave
