Too many leaders lack patience.
And they lack patience, because they lack love. Love bears all things. Love endures all things. Love is patient.
But too many leaders, in the deep corners of their hearts, love their vision more than they love actual people. And that’s why they aren’t patient. They won’t wait for people, they won’t love people in the nitty and the gritty of actual life. It’s a heart thing, it’s a love thing. It’s a “do we get the Gospel?” thing.
Love manifesting itself in patience must never negate the urgency of the mission. But urgency must never stifle love and the patience love brings.
